The Problem
Serene Surroundings was having difficulty generating sales relating to discretionary spending in a weak economy. Web site traffic, store traffic, sales projections, and pipelines needed to improve. Many strategies used in the past were just not working as effectively and marketing budgets were stretched.
 
The Solution

One message went to the existing customer base via personalized invoice stuffers while a more robust blast was concentrated on new clientele by way of a personalized postcard. A follow-up postcard went out 10 days later, followed by a reminder Email blast to both groups just a few days after that.
 
The Benefit
During the 2.5 week initiative, 21.45% of those contacted had some level of response. The multi-point campaign secured 15 new customers (the goal was 9), generated 40 quotes and realized an average order of nearly $3,500. Existing customers also exhibited an increase in spending from the previous year.
